Freiburg striker Papiss Cisse has admitted that while he is happy at his current side, to play for Liverpool would be to play for a "dream club".
The Senegal hitman has lit up this season’s Bundesliga with his goalscoring exploits and was the subject of a failed €12M bid from Wolfsburg in the January transfer window.
And while Freiburg are bullish over their prospects of keeping the 25-year-old, the club readily admit that they will have to look at substantial offers in the summer.
Premier League giants Liverpool especially have been linked with Cisse and it is a prospect that excites the striker.
"I am delighted with my season", said Cisse. "Liverpool is a dream club. Salif Diao and El Hadji Diouf have played there, but to be honest I am happy here at the moment."
The striker added however: "But you never know in football. Things can develop quickly."
