Ruud Gullit is bidding to take Anderlecht’s impressive midfielder Mbark Boussoufa to Russia. Gullit took over at Russian side Terek Grozny recently and is bidding to improve their squad before the Russian Premier League season kicks off on 12th March.

Boussoufa was expected to leave Anderlecht in search of greener pastures last summer, but no move materialised and he remained in Belgium. While a move to Russia would not necessarily represent the large leap up that the 26-year-old has been seeking, it would nevertheless prove a lucrative decision.

Terek are reported to have offered Anderlecht €10M for Boussoufa, with the player himself having a contract worth some €3M per season put in front of him.

Whether the former Chelsea youth player will decide his future lies in Russia however, remains to be seen.
