Gianluigi Buffon has responded to speculation that he may join either Manchester United or Manchester City in the summer by stating that he remains committed to Juventus.

The shot-stopper looks set to continue to miss out on Champions League football with Juventus, following another poor campaign for the Old Lady. However, suggestions that means the 33-year-old will seek pastures new in England have been dismissed.

"I will not leave Juve", said Buffon.

"I want to stay here. I followed the team even when they went into Serie B, and the fans give me unconditional affection without comparison. I hope that even [Alessandro] Del Piero stays."

Under contract with Juventus until 2013, should the Old Lady be tempted to push the keeper towards the exit door then a bid of at least €20M would be needed. Buffon also earns €5M per year in Turin.
