Czech defender Michal Kadlec has not had a concrete proposal from Liverpool, but the Bayer Leverkusen player is well aware the Reds have sent scouts to watch him.

A 26-year-old left back, Kadlec is believed to be under consideration within the corridors of power at Anfield as Liverpool plot their summer transfer targets. It is something that the Czech defender has suspected for some time.

"I read the English newspapers", said Kadlec to isport-blesk.cz, "but I do not know anything definite. I have not spoken to anyone."

But the Leverkusen man added tellingly: "I just know that some scouts of Liverpool attended our game with Borussia Dortmund."

The Czech international joined Leverkusen in 2008, moving from Sparta Prague. A switch to Liverpool and the Premier League would no doubt appeal.
