Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi’s agent has declared his client is happy with the Serie A club.
The Argentine’s performances with Napoli this season, helping the side to a Serie A title challenge and pushing for Champions League qualificiation as a minimum requirement, have impressed potential suitors across Europe. But Lavezzi is not thinking about leaving according to his agent Alejandro Mazzoni.
Asked about heading away from Napoli at the season’s end in an interview on Radio Kiss Kiss, Mazzoni denied that such a thought was running through the striker’s head.
"At the moment, it’s nonsense to talk about his departure", said Mazzoni.
"El Pocho is fine and he is playing well, he wants to play in the Champions League with Napoli and I am not talking to any club. Lavezzi is happy in Naples and he won’t leave."
Such news will be a relief to Napoli fans who have watched nervously as their stars have been eyed up by bigger clubs due to their season’s heroics.
