Juventus are looking at alternatives to on-loan midfielder Alberto Aquilani and are believed to have settled on Real Madrid schemer Sami Khedira.
The Bianconeri have been happy with Aquilani’s performances during his loan spell from Liverpool, but the Reds want the €16.5M fee agreed last summer for the midfielder, an amount that Juventus feel is too rich for them to stomach.
Hence the Serie A giants are looking closely at cheaper alternatives and, with Khedira, they spy an opportunity.
Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is known to be keen on Juventus’ Mohamed Sissoko and Giorgio Chiellini, and the Italians could consider offering either one or both players in a part-exchange deal to bag Khedira.
Khedira joined Real Madrid last summer after agreeing to move from German side VfB Stuttgart, but has not yet become an indispensable part of Los Blancos’ machine.
