Bayern Munich are winning the race for highly-rated Basel midfielder-cum-winger Valentin Stocker according to sources in Switzerland.
The 21-year-old has burst onto the scene with the Swiss giants over the last two seasons, impressing watching scouts from far and wide. This season alone Stocker has been tracked by English sides Aston Villa and Liverpool, with both hopeful of doing a deal in the summer.
However, Bayern Munich, with their close contacts at the St. Jakob Park club, have jumped ahead of the duo and now look in pole position to snap up Stocker at the end of the season.
The Allianz Arena side are keen to take the youngster to Germany and will do whatever it takes to ensure Stocker signs on the dotted line in Munich.
