Juventus are believed to be thinking seriously about letting Alberto Aquilani leave at the end of the current season as the Old Lady feel the price of making his loan from Liverpool permanent is too high.

Aquilani was shipped out of Anfield on a season-long loan by former manager Roy Hodgson and Juventus negotiated a clause whereby they could make the move a permanent one for a fee of €16.5M.

The 26-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a relatively good campaign amongst a Juventus side that has flopped in Serie A and will have no shortage of offers.

Linked with Aquilani are AC Milan, who may lose Andrea Pirlo to Chelsea in the summer and feel the ex-Roma man could be an adequate replacement for the 31-year-old.
