Palermo’s president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that an offer of €50M has been put on the table for the club’s highly-rated young Argentine Javier Pastore, and the move has given the Serie A side a decision to make.

Pastore has blossomed in Italy since joining Palermo in 2009 and is widely considered to have the potential to carve out a name for himself at the very top of the game.

The Argentine was expected to remain with Palermo for some time to come, with Zamparini boasting time and again of the player being unavailable. But such a large offer demands a response.

"I was offered €50M, to which I must respond", said Zamparini, refusing to go into further details or reveal the name of the club involved.
