Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is dreaming of an all-Spanish Champions League final against bitter rivals Barcelona and believes the showdown would be a good outcome for football itself.

With Los Blancos having safely negotiated the Round of 16 by beating Lyon, thoughts at the club are now turning to the possibility of an extended run in the competition, with coach Jose Mourinho set on winning it.

And winning it by beating domestic rivals Barcelona would be the icing on the cake according to Ramos.

"We worked very hard to go through", Ramos told Radio Marca. "We had a clear idea to take to the pitch and beat Lyon.

"There would be nothing better than to face Barcelona [in the final], it would be the best for football."
