Talk that Arjen Robben may quit Bayern Munich and head to AC Milan have been dismissed by chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Sources in Italy suggested that Robben’s countryman and former team-mate Mark van Bommel had been speaking to the winger, trying to convince him to follow his lead and join the Rossoneri in the summer. But Rummenigge, who has spoken with Robben about the rumours, has discounted the possibility of the Dutchman leaving.

"These rumours do not correspond to reality", said Rummenigge.

"I talked to him and this story is completely exaggerated. Arjen has no plans to leave Bayern."

However, Robben still looks set to attract some attention in the summer, with various sources believing that following the departure of Van Bommel and also with coach Louis van Gaal heading for the Allianz Arena exit door, the Dutchman may consider his future in Munich.
