Reigning European Champions Inter are believed to be tracking Utrecht’s attacking midfielder Dries Mertens.
The 23-year-old has impressed the Nerazzurri this season and president Massimo Moratti is thought ready to make his Eredivisie side an offer in the summer.
The Belgian was heavily linked with a move to Parma last summer, but a deal was unable to be agreed, and Mertens remained at the Stadion Galgenwaard.
Now however, according to reports from Italy, Inter could offer Utrecht €3.5M for Mertens, a figure which may well be enough to persuade the Dutch side to sell.
