Reports in Italy suggest Inter have jumped into pole position in the race for Udinese forward Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean is set to be one of the targets of the summer for Europe’s biggest sides with Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United all keen on snapping up the 22-year-old.
But according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have managed to push themselves to the front of the queue for Sanchez’ signature and while Udinese may not prefer to sell to a domestic rival, the Chilean himself could wish to remain in Italy.
Inter could also include players in the deal which would make the prospect an ever more attractive one for the Udine-based club.
