Argentine defender Martin Demichelis could yet return to Bayern Munich at the end of the season, especially if new coach Jupp Heynckes wants his services.

The tough-tackling star is on loan with La Liga outfit Malaga from the Allianz Arena side, but says he has no problem returning to Germany if needed.

With Malaga fighting relegation from the Spanish top flight, Demichelis’ future looks unclear. Should Manuel Pellegrini’s side survive then the chances are still that the Argentine will remain in Spain. Yet should they fail, a return to Bayern is on the table, according to the player himself.

"If we fail to maintain [La Liga status] I have no problem going back home", said the defender to Bild.

"And if the new coach, Jupp Heynckes, wants me, I would naturally think of going back."
