Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has warned his AC Milan team-mates that if they fail to win this season’s Scudetto then they will only have themselves to blame.
The Rossoneri have had chances aplenty to stamp their authority on Serie A and coast to the title, yet they have continually failed to take advantage of their rivals’ slip-ups and now the weekend derby against Inter has become crucial. Inter, sitting just two points behind Milan, can leapfrog their bitter rivals should they manage a win at the San Siro.
And for Ibrahimovic, Milan will only have themselves to blame.
"If we don’t win the title it will just be our fault", said the Swede.
The former Barcelona and Inter man has been at the centre of Milan’s success this season and will not be pleased if the Nerazzurri pip him to the prize.
