Barcelona star Dani Alves has admitted that it would be impossible for him to ever turn out for arch rivals Real Madrid.

The flying Brazilian full back recently inked a new deal with the Blaugrana following much speculation over his future, with Manchester City constantly linked with a move for the former Sevilla man.

But Alves remained at the Camp Nou and was delighted to do so, explaining he wanted to stay with Barcelona for as long as possible.

"My desire is to stay here as long as possible and end my career here. I’m happier than when I signed for Sevilla", said Alves.

And on the subject of ever playing for Real Madrid, Alves was firm.

"It is almost impossible to play for Real Madrid after playing for Barcelona. It would be a huge lack of respect. If I ever had to leave Barca it would be back to Brazil, I would not play for Real."
