1860 Munich have managed to stave off the threat of bankruptcy, for the time being at least.

Bayern Munich’s city rivals, who currently play in the second tier of German football, managed to raise €1.5M yesterday to ensure players’ salaries for March were able to be paid. The situation however is still critical, with the club estimated to need a further €10M to start next season.

"We now have four to five weeks to find a definitive solution", said chairman Dieter Schneider.
