Following speculation that he is being lined up as Real Madrid coach in the unlikely event that Jose Mourinho departs before next season, former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has again reasserted his desire to manage again in the English Premier League.

Benitez has been out of work since leaving Inter just before Christmas and revealed weeks ago that he has fielded offers, but nothing has materialised. Now, the Spaniard has restated his plan to remain in England.

"I’m waiting for a good possibility", said Benitez to informacion.com

"My priority is the Premier League, because my family is settled and I am better suited to a club there with a project.

"I’ve been six years in England and here [Liverpool] I’ve been treated great. It’s a team, a city, a culture, a way of understanding football, and I think in the future I will be very happy here."
