AC Milan look to have withdrawn from the race for Santos attacking midfielder Ganso leaving the field open to their city rivals Inter.

Ganso is expected to cost €35M from Santos, but the Brazilian club could even try to demand more for their young midfield star. And Milan are believed to have concluded that the fee required could be put to better use elsewhere.

The elsewhere is assumed to be Udinese, where winger-cum-forward Alexis Sanchez remains in demand. The Chilean may be available from the Udine-based side for €35M, and Milan believe him to represent much better value than Ganso given he is already a proven Serie A talent.
