Juventus are hopeful they may be able to sign Gael Clichy from Arsenal due to the Gunners’ interest in Everton’s Leighton Baines and Bordeaux’s Benoit Tremoulinas.
Arsenal are reported to be keen on Baines, although accept a deal with The Toffees could be difficult, with Frenchman Tremoulinas a realistic alternative.
And this has encouraged Juventus, who have bid twice before for Clichy, only to fail to convince Arsenal to part with the player. The Bianconeri hope that this summer, with a new left back arriving at the Emirates, Clichy will become available and a long-awaited move to Turin can materialise.
Arsenal though, if pursuing Tremoulinas, could face opposition from German giants Bayern Munich, who are also running the rule over the 25-year-old.
