French club Lille have emerged as a possible destination for Bolton Wanderers striker Johan Elmander.
The Sweden is out of contract in the summer and should leave the Reebok Stadium – he has been attracting much interest, particularly from Serie A, where the 29-year-old is still tipped to end up.
However, Lille, currently topping Ligue 1 with a four-point cushion over Marseille, expect to be able to offer Elmander Champions League football next season.
This, Lille hope, may be enough to persuade the Swede to head back to Ligue 1, where he turned out for Toulouse between 2006 and 2008 before moving to England.
