England coach Fabio Capello is sure that his right hand man, Franco Baldini, will not be heading to take up a role at Roma in the summer.

New Roma owner Thomas DiBenedetto has been linked with a bid to take Baldini, who served as the club’s director of football between 1999 and 2005, back to the Italian capital. But Capello believes the 50-year-old will remain at his side.

"DiBenedetto does not know Baldini and I can say that he now works with me", commented the England coach.

Capello’s relationship with his right hand man is such that he would be reluctant to lose Baldini. It is also difficult to imagine Baldini quitting his post with England before Capello himself bows out after Euro 2012.
