Schalke coach Ralf Rangnick has piled pressure onto Inter ahead of their Champions League quarter-final first leg this evening.
The Germans head to Italy and will hope to come back from the San Siro with an away goal at least, but preferably with a win. And Rangnick, who succeeded Felix Magath, the coach who masterminded Schalke’s run to this stage, explained the pressure is on Inter and not the Ruhr club.
"They are the favourites", said Rangnick.
"And the pressure is not on us, but we want to see what we can do."
Schalke keeper Manuel Neuer also cut a confident figure, predicting that while "they are strong in attack, we are in defence."
