Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has been recommended to Bursaspor by former team-mate Kenny Miller, but the Turkish side may have to battle Galatasaray for the 29-year-old’s signature.

Miller made the move to Bursaspor in January with the current Super Lig champions paying Rangers a fee of £400,000 for his services and he has so far impressed in Turkish football.

Bursaspor, on the lookout for a new goalkeeper to succeed veteran Bulgarian shot-stopper Dimitar Ivankov, believe McGregor could fit the bill.

The champions will have to battle Galatasaray however, after the Istanbul side also took a keen interest in the Rangers man. Given Miller’s impact in Turkey, Super Lig clubs are coming round to the belief that there may well be value in the Scottish market that they can exploit.
