Turkish giants Besiktas are keen on Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan and are plotting to take the Uruguayan to Istanbul in the summer.
The Black Eagles were touted as Super Lig title favourites at the start of the season, but have failed to keep pace with Trabzonspor, Fenerbahce and Bursaspor at the top of the table.
Besiktas currently sit seventh and face a battle to ensure European football once again next season, although they do look set to reach the final of the Turkish Cup, holding a 3-0 first leg lead in their semi-final against Gaziantepspor.
Whether a move to Turkey would appeal to Forlan is unclear, but the former Manchester United striker has repeatedly been linked with a move away from the Madrid-based side.
