David Trezeguet could be set for a return to French football if reports from the country are to be believed.

The 33-year-old currently turns out in La Liga with Hercules; it is a spell which has been an enjoyable one for the former Juventus striker despite his side battling against relegation.

And should Hercules, who find themselves three points adrift of safety, end up dropping down to the Segunda Division, the French striker could hardly be expected to remain.

Leading the charge are Marseille, with the reigning Ligue 1 champions thought to be keen on a €2M move for Trezeguet. Also linked however are Napoli; the Serie A side feel they could use the striker’s experience if, as expected, they qualify for next season’s Champions League.
