Serie A side Genoa are eyeing a double swoop on French football according to reports from L’Equipe.

The Italians have their eye on Saint-Etienne’s Blaise Matuidi and Toulouse man Moussa Sissoko, and taking both to the club in the summer would be a real coup.

Genoa have designs on finishing in the top four in Serie A next season, but understand that to do so they will have to strengthen dramatically.

24-year-old defensive midfielder Matuidi has made the breakthrough to the senior France squad and will have no shortage of options in the summer, meaning Genoa will have to present a very persuasive case.

21-year-old Sissoko is also a midfielder, and has made clear his desire for a new challenge following four years in the Toulouse jersey.
