Brazil are planning to build a roof on top of their legendary Maracana Stadium in time for the 2014 World Cup which the country is hosting.
The legendary ground is being revamped for the showpiece tournament and the decision has been taken to build a roof, with the total cost of the project coming in at a whopping €437M.
Brazil hope to have the work complete and delivered well ahead of schedule, with the country aiming to be able to show off the finished product by December 2012.
