SC Freiburg’s sporting director Dirk Dufner has admitted that the club’s striker Papiss Cisse is in demand from sides across Europe.
The Senegal hitman has been one of the hits of the Bundesliga season, scoring goals for fun and looking a dangerous prospect. Freiburg only signed the player in January 2010, but in the winter transfer window turned down a bid of €12M from Wolfsburg.
Keeping hold of Cisse in the summer looks more difficult though, with Dufner admitting the striker is a wanted man.
"Many clubs from Germany and abroad have asked us about him", said Dufner.
Cisse is expected to cost more than the €12M the club rejected from Wolfsburg in January, with a fee upwards of €14M mooted.
