Manchester United centre back Nemanja Vidic has told his team-mates to forget about the FA Cup semi-final loss to Manchester City and aim to win the Premier League title.

United stand in a dominant position in the league, topping the table with a cushion of six points over second placed Arsenal. Sir Alex Ferguson’s side are in action this evening away at Newcastle United, where a win would surely crank up the pressure on the Gunners ahead of their North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow.

"We have played many games in the last few weeks and the next one is against Newcastle away, which is always a hard game to play", Vidic told MUTV.

"We must forget the City game now and concentrate on winning the title. It will not be easy, but we have to perform, play good football and try to win the league."
