A further sign that Danish centre back Simon Kjaer is on his way out of Wolfsburg has come with the German club expressing an interest in Pape Diakhate.
The Senegal man is currently on loan at Ligue 1 side Lyon from Dynamo Kyiv, but is expected to quit the Ukrainian giants in the summer transfer window.
And Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg have, according to France Football, put out feelers to sign the 26-year-old.
Such an arrival would add further weight to the talk that Kjaer is ready to bid farewell to the Volkswagen Arena. The Dane only arrived last summer from Palermo, for a substantial fee of €12M. He has been attracting interest from Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Roma in recent moinths.
