Lazio midfielder Hernanes has denied that Real Madrid have made an offer to take him to the Bernabeu for next season.
The Brazilian has been outstanding at times this season for Lazio and played a key part in helping the club to mount a serious title challenge for much of the campaign before falling away.
And all this in Hernanes’ first season in Italian football after moving from Sao Paulo in the summer.
It therefore came as little surprise to see the Brazilian linked with a move to Real Madrid, with talk from Spain suggesting Jose Mourinho had identified the 25-year-old as a potential acquisition.
But Hernanes himself has heard nothing concrete.
"I’ve never received an offer [from Real Madrid]", said the Brazilian.
"I read the headlines in the newspapers, but nobody has tried [to sign me]."
