Speculation over the future of Marseille left back Taye Taiwo looks set to end with the expected confirmation that the Nigerian has reached an agreement with AC Milan for next season.

Taiwo has long been expected to leave France, with his contract at the Stade Velodrome coming to an end at the end of the season. Now, according to L’Equipe, the full back has agreed to sign a three-year deal with Milan running until 2014.

Having scored the winning goal in the Coupe de la Ligue final against Montpellier at the weekend, Taiwo will be bidding farewell to Didier Deschamps’ side on a high.

The Nigeria star almost left Marseille last summer, when a move to Atletico Madrid was all but agreed, however the deal broke down at the last minute.
