Standard Liege midfielder Axel Witsel can add another name to the list of clubs interested in his services – Udinese.
The 22-year-old Belgian midfielder has impressed at Standard and is a key part of the Reds midfield, their strongest part of the side. And it therefore comes as little surprise that Witsel is attracting envious looks.
Udinese expect to lose midfielder Gokhan Inler in the summer, with the tough-tackling Swiss international most probably on the way to Inter. This has forced the Udine-based club to join the race for Witsel, although it is a race which will be hugely competitive.
If Standard choose to cash in on the midfielder they can expect to create an auction, with AC Milan, Genoa and Fiorentina all also interested in Witsel.
