Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have joined the race for Anderlecht’s in-demand striker Romelu Lukaku.
The powerful forward looks set to leave the Belgian giants this summer and a move to the English Premier League appears the most likely switch. For a striker who has already been dubbed the "new Didier Drogba", such a destination could be perfect.
And there is no shortage of Premier League sides who have scouted Lukaku, with Arsenal and Chelsea out in front in the chase.
Now however, reports from Belgium suggest Harry Redknapp’s Spurs side could barge their way into the reckoning, with the White Hart Lane outfit ready to pay as much as €23M for the striker.
Anderlecht have stated that Lukaku will only leave for a fee in excess of €20M. €23M therefore may be enough to persuade the Belgians to consent to his departure.
