Jose Mourinho is not prepared to write off Real Madrid’s Champions League adventure just yet and is plotting how Los Blancos can overturn a 2-0 deficit in the Camp Nou. And that could have an effect on this weekend’s clash with Real Zaragoza.
Reports from Madrid suggest Mourinho is seriously considering fielding a ‘B’ team against Zaragoza as he bids to keep his stars fresh for the daunting trip to Barcelona on Tuesday.
Zaragoza will welcome the news, with the game proving to be a vital one for a side fighting against relegation from La Liga.
On Mourinho’s part the news goes some way towards indicating that, despite the size of the task, the Portuguese still believes his men have a real chance of shocking Barcelona and advancing to the Champions League final.
