Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has slammed Los Blancos coach Jose Mourinho’s recent behaviour as "shameful" and accused him of running the Bernabeu outfit.

Mourinho has been at the centre of controversy following Real Madrid’s 2-0 home Champions League defeat to Barcelona last week, after which he accused the Catalan club of having an unhealthy influence on referees – the Portuguese’s comments have been referred to UEFA.

And for Calderon this is not the way that a Real Madrid coach should behave, and Florentino Perez’s predecessor has slammed the former Inter boss.

"It’s not like a coach of Real Madrid to comment on such matters, but it is the result of a defeatist attitude of the president who has handed all power to him, and from there you see what he does", said Calderon.

The former president also condemned Mourinho’s behaviour after the match saying: "what happened the other day in the press room is shameful."

And Calderon does not believe that Real Madrid should complain about decisions which do not go their way as this is not fitting of a big club.

"It’s [Real Madrid] a very big club and big clubs never complain about injuries or the referees or bad luck and we’re doing too much of that this season."
