Hertha Berlin are eyeing young goalkeeper Thomas Kraft who will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season. The 22-year-old’s deal at the Allianz Arena is expiring and will not be renewed, leaving the shot-stopper available.
A product of the Bayern youth academy, great things were expected of Kraft and he was expected to cement his spot as the club’s first choice keeper this season. However, the German failed to win the favour of former coach Louis van Gaal and has seen limited playing time in the 2010/11 campaign.
And Hertha Berlin, who have gained promotion to the Bundesliga from the 2.Bundesliga, believe Kraft could fit the bill between the sticks. There are still those who have high hopes for the youngster and believe he can go on to fill his potential.
