AC Milan look to be working overtime to bring Brazilian midfielder Ganso to the club. The Rossoneri had gone cold on the Santos playmaker earlier in the campaign, with rivals Inter appearing to be in pole position – but in recent weeks Milan have edged to the front of the picture.

Urged by Robinho to buy the 21-year-old from Santos, Milan have been convinced that the midfielder would add to their squad for an assault on next season’s Champions League.

Ganso will not arrive in Serie A cheaply however, with Santos believed to be demanding close to €35M for his signature. Should the player push for a move to join international colleagues Robinho and Alexandre Pato at the San Siro though, Milan may be confident of lowering the asking price.
