Sources in Italy suggest Fiorentina goalkeeper Artur Boruc has rejected offers from West Ham United and Norwich City.

The Polish shot-stopper had been rumoured to be looking to leave La Viola in the summer, but it appears the former Celtic number 1 has had a change of heart and is determined to see out his contract, which expires in 2013, with the Serie A side.

West Ham, who could find themselves relegated from the Premier League in the next few weeks, were keen to do a deal with the Pole, as were fellow English side Norwich City, who themselves have just secured promotion to the country’s top flight.

However, Boruc, who showed his parents around Florence last weekend, now believes remaining in Italy at present is a wise choice.

The 31-year-old switched to Fiorentina last summer, making the move from Scottish giants Celtic, a side he joined in 2005 from Legia Warsaw. Boruc has clocked up 46 caps for Poland.
