Marseille midfielder Lucho Gonzalez will not be drawn on his future after speculation he could head to Serie A in the summer.
The 30-year-old arrived at the reigning Ligue 1 champions from FC Porto in 2009 for the sizeable fee of €18M and last season picked up his fifth national title in a row after winning the Portuguese league in 2005/06, 2006/07, 2007/08, 2008/09 and then 2009/10 with Marseille.
However, speculation has singled out the player known just as "Lucho" as a possible target for a number of Italian sides, despite having two years left on his contract at the Stade Velodrome.
Asked about his future, Lucho replied: "I do not know. You see journalists say I do not want to stay here for next season and they say the same for the coach and other players.
"It is not the time to talk about it. I still have two years left on my contract and at the end of the season we’ll see what happens."
