Michael Essien’s Agent Dismisses Chelsea Exit Talk

Michael Essien’s agent has denied speculation that AC Milan are lining up a move for his client. The Chelsea midfielder had been said to be being eyed by the Rossoneri, but Fabien Piveteau insists he has heard nothing about any move.

"There is nothing true about it", said Essien’s agent to Tutto Mercato. 

"I had no contact with Milan and in any case, Michael wants to remain at Chelsea for another three years."

And Piveteau insisted that, even if any other clubs were interested in the Ghana midfielder, Essien himself is fully committed to Chelsea and not pondering a move away from Stamford Bridge.

"No [other clubs are interested], because everybody knows that Chelsea are happy with Michael and he is happy at Chelsea."

Essien has been at Stamford Bridge since a 2005 switch from Lyon, a deal which cost the Blues £24.4M.
