Inter have put Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola at the top of their wanted list, with Nerazzurri president Massimo Moratti believing the reigning European champions may be able to tempt the Spaniard to Serie A.

Guardiola is set to pick up another La Liga title this season, while a meeting with Manchester United in the Champions League final on 28th May means he will have the opportunity to win that trophy for the second time in his three-season spell.

But the Catalan has already stated that he finds it hard to believe it is possible for a coach to remain in charge at the Camp Nou for the long term.

"I think my time here is nearing the end", Guardiola was quoted as saying to Italian channel Rai

"When you’re at a club like this for a long time it’s not possible to stay long term."

Another La Liga and Champions League double could indeed present Guardiola with the perfect moment to bid farewell to Barcelona. However, should he choose to do so then Inter would surely face opposition for his signature, most likely from Chelsea.
