Sources in Italy suggest that Juventus believe they are close to an agreement with Lyon for Michel Bastos. The flying Brazilian full back is a coveted player and should the Bianconeri tempt him to Turin then it would be considered a real coup.
Bastos has been linked with a move away from the Stade Gerland and has admitted that he will not consider leaving Lyon for another French club. Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid have looked closely at the player, but at present Juventus look the most serious suitors.
The 27-year-old’s attitude towards switching to a Juventus side without Champions League football is unknown, but he will not be cheaply released by Lyon.
