AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has admitted that he has a "great offer" on the table from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala and is not yet sure where he will ply his trade next season.

The 33-year-old has helped Milan to this season’s Scudetto and may well consider his work with the Rossoneri complete. Therefore, a big-money switch to Russia could be the perfect way for the former Rangers midfielder to end a glittering playing career.

But as the Italian well admits, last season he was on the verge of joining Greek giants Olympiacos until Massimiliano Allegri convinced him to remain in Milan.

"I got a great offer from Anzhi Makhachkala", said Gattuso, "and when we met I thought seriously about it.

"I will decide with my family. Last year I was practically an Olympiacos player, then Allegri made me change my mind and I stayed in Milan."
