Fulham manager Mark Hughes has warned his side they must be on their toes when they meet Liverpool in the Premier League this evening. The Cottagers host the Reds and Hughes has already identified the partnership between Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez as highly dangerous, feeling Liverpool did good business in the January transfer window.

"I think the view is that they’ve done good business in terms of the two players they got in with the money they got for [Fernando] Torres", said Hughes.

"Given the way it’s panned out for Fernando Torres, you’d argue at this moment in time it’s the better deal, only because the two guys that have gone in at Liverpool seem to have very quickly struck up a partnership and that seems to be working well for Liverpool."

And the Fulham manager thinks the Carroll-Suarez partnership could be one of the special ones which sees each player compliment the other perfectly.

"Right through the history of football, there’s great partnerships and there’s always examples of where one player triggers off the good, positive parts of another player. And there’s signs that there’s the possibility Carroll and Suarez will obviously continue in the same vein and be a very strong partnership for Liverpool for years to come."

With the Reds just one point behind Tottenham Hotspur in the race for a Europa League spot, this evening’s game has added importance for Liverpool and Kenny Dalglish will surely be targeting a win at Fulham.
