Ligue 1 side Bordeaux are showing an interest in Ajax striker Mounir El Hamdaoui.
The 26-year-old is expected to be on his way out of the Amsterdam ArenA at the end of the current season and has been attracting glances from across Europe. Turkish club Galatasaray were rumoured to be close to doing a deal for the player in January, but El Hamdaoui stayed put.
Now though Bordeaux are thought to have expressed their interest in taking the former AZ man to Ligue 1. The French outfit have enjoyed a mixed campaign and, with just one more goal scored than conceded (40), believe their strikeforce needs freshening up.
Bordeaux would not be able to offer the Morocco international European football, which could well feature in El Hamdaoui’s thoughts, but the striker has seen limited game time at Ajax and is keen for first team football in the 2011/12 campaign.
