Giuseppe Rossi’s agent is clear that his client will not be sold by Villarreal for less than €30M. The Yellow Submarine want to keep hold of the Italian, but well understand that he is attracting much interest.
English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur came in for Rossi in the January transfer window, but manager Harry Redknapp opted against paying the €35M fee Villarreal placed on his head at that time.
And agent Federico Pastorello does not expect Rossi’s side to have changed their stance much in the meantime.
"At present such an attacker cannot cost less than €30M", said the 24-year-old’s agent.
Pastorello also confirmed the worst known secret in football, that Rossi would prefer to move to Barcelona.
"We’ll do that [listen to offers] but when they fail to reach a deal with top clubs there isn’t much left. Obviously they [Barcelona] would be the best option."
