Competition for Inter’s talented midfielder Coutinho is hotting up after the Nerazzurri decided to loan the 18-year-old out next season.

The feeling at the club is that Coutinho would benefit from a season of regular first team football – something he is unlikely to receive at the San Siro.

And so a number of clubs have begun to pay attention to the Brazilian’s situation and make their interest known to Inter.

Ready to take Coutinho on loan for the 2011/12 campaign are Chievo, Sampdoria, Bologna and intriguingly, Premier League side Liverpool.

The latter would undoubtedly wish for an agreement to make any move permanent at the end of a loan period and it is this which could complicate an agreement with Inter.

Coutinho is highly rated, by none more so than former Inter and Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez. The Spaniard may well have informed the Anfield side of the Brazilian’s substantial potential and Benitez regularly gave Coutinho playing time when in charge of the Nerazzurri.
