Juventus striker Luca Toni has emerged as a possible summer transfer target for ambitious La Liga side Malaga.
Manuel Pellegrini’s team look set to escape relegation this season, a prospect which was concerning for the Middle East-owned side until the last few weeks of the season. Now the former Real Madrid boss looks to have hit upon the correct formula and already thoughts at the club have begun to turn to next season.
And Toni has been identified as a possible reinforcement, with the club given encouragement by the striker’s recent comments that when his spell at Juventus ends he is determined to once again play outside Italy – Toni had a prior spell with Bayern Munich.
While the striker did state his intention to see out his deal with the Bianconeri however, a contract which ends in 2012. Should the Italians be willing to deal then Toni himself would surely be attracted by the idea of a move to the big-spending Spanish side though.
